The Ohio City Galley is a food hall and restaurant accelerator located in the historic former Forest City Savings & Trust building in Cleveland’s thriving Ohio City neighborhood. The mission of the Galley is to serve as a low-risk launch space for aspiring restaurateurs; it hosts four rotating dining concepts, seating for 156, and a private event space.

The Ohio City Galley is part of a larger project to renovate the entire Forest City Savings and Trust building and the connected Seymour Building, the project has qualified to receive State of Ohio Historic Tax Credits.

The historic bank hall, which was constructed in 1904, features an ornate plaster ceiling and large columns. The space is anchored at the center by a large 30-seat bar with a copper-clad bar top. In order to highlight the historic ceiling, we worked with a local fabricator to produce light fixtures mounted to the columns and walls which provides soft up lighting. Custom steel framework at the bar supports televisions and bottles while leaving the ceiling plane untouched.
