This two-story classic manor was designed by the noted Cleveland architectural firm of Meade and Hamilton, and was originally constructed in 1927. The buff brick-clad structure features corbeled brick and sandstone detailing with refined wood trim, in addition to its original terracotta tile roof.

The Clients purchased the residence in early 2022 and, while in love with the classic detailing and historic qualities of the home, sought a lighter, more-current interior expression, and also hoped to establish a better connection to the private rear lawn for entertaining. As part of the overall design renovation, existing vintage walnut paneling and trim was restored, ceiling and wall plaster ornamentation was repaired and painted a fresh white tone. Existing custom Art Deco-era light sconces were restored by local artisans, while new complimentary modern pendant light fixtures were added to offset the period design features. At the refreshed living room, a series of bi-folding French doors designed as an exact match to vintage French doors were installed to completely open the room to the rear patio and pool terrace beyond.

The studio worked closely with the clients and District Gallery and Surroundings Home Décor to choose vibrant, meaningful art and modern furniture. The renovations were completed in the summer of 2023.
