The newest Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream is now open in Strongsville, OH.

On May 16th Mike and Pete Mitchell cut the ribbon on the new location with employees and Strongsville Mayor Thomas Perciak. The shop is located on Strongsville’s public square and lawn where guests are invited to enjoy ice cream on the patio and engage in nearby community activities.

The building’s modern form and materials of glass and metal are balanced by the incorporation of brown brick – linking the shop to its surrounding suburban neighborhood. The shop includes features reflective of Mitchell’s values of sustainability and community such as permeable brick pavers across the parking lot, sidewalks and patio, and furniture made from recycled materials. A Water Harvesting System collects rainwater from the roof in a 6,000-gallon cistern located underground. Rainwater will be treated and reused in the shop’s plumbing system and for watering the surrounding landscape.
