Destination Cleveland recently published an article, “Then & Now: The Flats” that highlights some of the changes that have occurred in Cleveland’s Flats neighborhood. Over time, the Flats has shifted identities- from primarily industrial uses to a neighborhood with homes, offices and riverfront entertainment.
One of the major factors in the reinvention of the Flats is the Flats East Bank mixed-use development, which is anchored by the Dimit-designed Flats East Bank apartments. The Flats East Bank Apartments feature 234 market-rate luxury apartments in a “modern loft” brick building, with sixteen retail and entertainment spaces at the ground level.
