Dimit Architects was formed in the fall of 2004 by Scott Dimit and Analia Nanni Dimit, as a natural outgrowth of their shared design beliefs.  Dimit Architects has a particular interest in helping to preserve and augment the historical built fabric of Northeast Ohio, while at the same time remaining environmentally-responsible and aware of the limited and fragile eco-resources that the planet has to offer.

Dimit Architects LLC offers full-scope architectural services for residential, commercial, renovation, and urban design projects.  Principal Scott Dimit has over twenty-five years experience as a project designer, architect, and manager, and has completed award-winning projects throughout the United States and abroad.  Senior Designer Analia Nanni Dimit brings over ten years of experience in residential, urban design, and planning work from her native Argentina and leads efforts in retail and interior architecture projects. “We approach every project as a unique collaboration, each with specific opportunities, objectives, and discoveries evolved from the earliest phases of work. We like to think of the architect’s role as that of a ‘creative enabler’, and we embrace a team approach from the initial schematic concepts through the development of construction documents, and ultimately through the construction phase...”

Projects recently completed include the restoration and conversion of the historic Andrew Jackson House, located in downtown Akron, Ohio, to new professional offices for the GAR Foundation. The project was pre-qualified for both state and federal tax-credit funding, and was occupied by the GAR and Knight Foundations in September of 2009.

Construction is underway for the 27 Coltman Townhouse project, an inner-urban development of twenty-seven sustainable residences in Cleveland’s vibrant Little Italy neighborhood.  In addition, the 11 River Townhouse development featuring eleven dramatic waterfront residences fronting the Rocky River, is under construction in the City of Rocky River, Ohio.  The first phase of five residences is expected to be completed by May of 2010.
